Biography:
Harry was born Hyman Goldberg, and his birthplace has been quoted as both Dublin and London, the family consensus
seems to be that he was born in London. Harry changed his surname to Gold before 1946 (source Andrew Gold 2009).
Harry was a musician, composer and conductor and led his jazz band Harry Gold and His Pieces of Eight along with 
his brother Laurie. He was still performing well into his 90th year. Harry wrote his biography in 2000
